A Love Shared By Starlight
"Tonight's the night," I told myself in vain, sitting myself on the sand.
The glimmering grey waves washed over my bare feet, foaming white and then seeping back in to the watery mass which conceived them. I yawned and stretched, squishing my toes into the muddy shore. The beach was calm, serene; not another soul in sight for miles.
But I was waiting. I had been waiting ever since that fateful day, and I wouldn't stop waiting. For the time being, this beach was my home, my dwelling, and my waiting place. Every day, I ate and slept on the beach, patiently awaiting the sunset, and then, when sunset came and twilight dawned, I would sit close
